The weather this week hasn't been too bad with some mild days making for pleasant fishing, although the nights are still cold with some frost the fishery remains ice free and is still fishing very well. The last stocking of fish was in the 2.5-3lb bracket and a lot of these are featuring in our catch reports as well as some of the bigger fish also.
Waringstown angler Alan Coleman had a nice fish estimated at 7-8lb, the fish was not weighed as it was quickly returned to fight another day. Alan ended up with 12 fish all to Pinkies and Olive Buzzers. Brian Kerr of Armagh fished for a few hours on Sunday and managed 16 fish all on Pinkies and Millenium Bugs while Lisburn angler Jim Boyd had 8 fish all on a floating line and Goldhead Cats Whisker. Saturday saw another visit from Billy Kidd of Ballynahinch, Billy caught 18 fish all on Bloodworm Patterns and a fly called a Marty Feldman, a new one on us.

On Thursday Brookhall regular Liam Burns of Belfast had a good days fishing, Liam caught 22 fish all on a Vibrating Daddy pattern and on Friday Michael Wilson had 7 fish all on an Ace Of Spades.
Paddy Timoney from Belfast caught his bag limit again with most of his fish on small black buzzers. Paddy seen here with this fish just over 3lb.
From the catch reports we have noticed that a variety of flies are catching fish at the minute, although Cats Whiskers, Pinkies, White Nomads and Millenium Bugs are working particularly well. Floating and Intermediate lines are working best as even though it is still quite chilly the fish arent deep down at all.
