This week has seen some fantastic
fishing with catch returns well into double figures. When the strong sunlight have sometimes had to fish a little deeper with intermediate lines and lures such as the Cats Whisker, Fritz patterns, Minkies and Zonkers with a slow retrieve all doing well.

Jim Bonner from Lisburn had 40 fish on the more traditional flies including pheasant tail nymphs, hares ears etc.
Sean Morgan had an impressive 55 mainly on daddy longlegs with his biggest around the 6lb mark and the average between 2and a half to 3lb mark.
Saturday saw the return of Dromore Junior Angling Club with all 11 juniors catching fish with a combined total
of 68 fish.

We have noticed an increased number of lady anglers to the lake and they have certainly been giving the men a run for their money.
Marie Carberry (above) from Belfast ended a 5 hours session with 12 mainly on pink bloodworms and buzzers. Linda Straghan (left) from Armagh had 8 in only a few hours on a pink minkie.
Anglers have still been enjoying the evening rise with CDC’s, Shipmans, Klinkhammers and even Daddy Longlegs all taking good numbers of fish.
Stuart McAllister from Belfast had great sucess on Sunday landing 22 fish on bloodworms and zonkers.
