Brookhall Fishery Report - Week Ending 24th May 2009
(May 25, 2009)Fishing has continued to be excellent despite the varied weather this week with most of the fish caught in the top few feet of water except for Thursday when the thunder put the fish right down. Anyone on kill tickets still managed to get their fish and despite the miserable conditions left happy.. It continues to be that no single tactic seems to be bringing greater success - floating, intermediate and even sinking lines have been used by anglers with lures, nymphs and buzzers all productive.
CDC flies have been very successful during better spells of weather and dries including small Daddies, Shipmans and Klinkhammers have all worked well. Top flies this week were damsels, black and olive buzzers and Diawl Bachs (Red Holo) .

This week we also had a visit from Ian Summerell who is the PRO for the UCSW [union of country sports worker]. Ian is the Editor of Country Sports Radio & Country Sports TV.Ian was at Brookhall Fishery on Monday to interview Staff and anglers at the Fishery for radio and also took some footage for a broadcast which we hope will go out in the very near future.
